Omodaka, a creative project adopting a self-described “trial and error process of mutational fusion of music and motion graphics,” has a new video for track “Kyoteizinc,” which features the captivating computer-tweaked dance of Masako Yasumoto. Directed by Hiroshi Kizu.

Whaaat you thought your commute to work this morning was bad:

I’ve been watching a fair amount of Asian cinema lately. Mainly because I have an overwhelming amount of free credit to use up on aznv.tv and no funds to go to the cinema. So I randomly chanced upon a film last night called Shiki-Jitsu (translated as Ritual Day) by Hideaki Anno (known for his work on the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion). Its about a chance encounter between a dispirited man, and an odd girl lying on the train tracks, who carries out these erratic daily rituals. The seemingly insane girl intrigues the guy and he spends time with her trying to unravel the meaning of her disconnection from reality, as well as trying to figure out his own direction in life. The movie has intriguing contrasting characters, and ever so beautiful art direction. If you get a chance check it out.
